Pre-Ballet


Pre-Ballet class is designed for students ages 3 and up, and this class focuses on creative movement and basic ballet technique. This is a fun and creative class for young dancers, and students can wear any comfortable clothing that they can move in.

Beginning Ballet

Beginning Ballet classes are designed for ages 5 and up, and this class focuses on basic ballet technique including stretching and barre work. The dress code for beginning ballet is a black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, with hair in a bun.

Elementary Ballet

Elementary Ballet & Tap classes are designed for students ages 5 and up, with a focus on ballet technique, including stretching and barre work. The dress code for Elementary Ballet & Tap is a black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers/ black tap shoes, with hair in a bun.

Intermediate

Intermediate Ballet & Jazz classes are designed for students age 7 and up.


This class features one hour of ballet technique combined with 30 minutes of jazz, and it’s a fun & challenging class for this age group.
The dress code for Intermediate level students is a black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, with hair in a bun.

Intermediate II Ballet & Jazz

Intermediate Ballet & Jazz classes are designed for students age 7 and up.
This class features one hour of ballet technique combined with 30 minutes of jazz, and it’s a fun & challenging class for this age group.


The dress code for Intermediate level students is a black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, with hair in a bun.

Level I

This class is designed for students ages 9 and up.


Level 1 Ballet will focus on developing strength and flexibility. Taking Pre-Pointe is recommended at this level to begin strengthening dancers and getting them ready to get their pointe shoes. To register for Level I plus Pre-Pointe return to the shop and select that option. The dress code for Level 1 is a black leotard, pink footed ballet tights, and pink ballet slippers with hair in a bun.

Ballet training gets more serious at DcD in Level 1. Students should expect to receive corrections in class, and they should be able to apply corrections from the teacher quickly. Students are expected to have near-perfect attendance in classes, and should arrive to the studio early to stretch quietly in the hall before class begins.

Level II Plus Pointe

Level 2 Ballet & Pointe is designed for students who have completed Level 1 Ballet & Pre-Pointe.


This is a one and a half hour ballet technique class, which focuses on correct placement, stretching and strengthening. The dress code for this class is black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, and pointe shoes with hair in a bun.

Ballet training gets more serious at DcD in Level 2. Students should expect to receive corrections in class, and they should be able to apply corrections from the teacher quickly. Students are expected to have near-perfect attendance in classes, and should arrive to the studio early to stretch quietly in the hall before class begins.

Level III Pointe Plus Horton

Level 3 Ballet & Pointe is designed for students who have completed Level 2 Ballet & Pointe. This is a one hour 45-minute ballet technique class, which focuses on correct placement, stretching and strengthening. It is an option at this Level to take the Horton class on Tuesdays in addition to ballet & pointe. To include Horton, return to the shop and select Level 3, Pointe plus Horton. The dress code for this class is black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, and pointe shoes with hair in a bun.

Level 4 Ballet & Pointe is designed for students who have completed Level 3 Ballet & Pointe. There are 3 one hour 45-minute ballet technique classes, which focus on correct placement, stretching and strengthening. It is an option at this Level to take the Horton class on Tuesdays in addition to ballet & pointe.


The dress code for this class is black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, and pointe shoes with hair in a bun.

Level V

Advanced level classes are designed for students have completed Level 1, 2, and 3 and Pointe. Advanced level classes focus on building strong ballet, modern and pointe technique in a professional and nurturing atmosphere.

The dress code for this class is any solid color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers/ pointe shoes, with hair in a bun.

TUITION SIGN UP FEE

To register at DcD we require a non-refundable $75 sign-up fee per family, per year. Once registered, your tuition will charged to your card on the 3rd of the month from September-June.

DcD was founded in 2000 by Artistic Director Jennifer Micek with the goal of creating a studio that values family, education, creativity and a lifelong passion for dance and the arts. DcD discourages competition as a part of Dance training while promoting a fun and caring environment for all of it's dancers.
